Randy as committee chair for Stewardship submitted the following letter.

When discussing the topic of Stewardship, there are questions we must ask our selves. Do we actually, really BELIEVE that all we have comes from God? If we truly believe, are we actually, really THANKFUL for what God has and does give us? If the answer to those questions is an honest YES, then our giving will surely reflect that. We give lovingly and in gratitude to our Father that has blessed us. We also give of our first fruits, knowing in our hears, that God will provide us with all we need.

However, if the answer to either of these questions is “maybe” or “sort of” or “not sure”, our giving reflects that also. We give some of “what’s left over” and “when it’s convenient”.

One thing is for sure, God doesn’t need our money! He can get along quite well without it! It is us that has the need. We need to be free from fear, which can only come when we put our faith and trust in God!

When we give lovingly and thankfully from our first fruits we are taking full ownership of what we sing after the offering during worship “Let the vineyards be fruitful Lord, and fill to the brim our cup of blessing”.

In Peace
